Project Summary
Jefferson Elementary School, originally built in 1936 with a “Traditional” building image, needed modernization using 21st Century educational concepts. As part of an approved no-tax-rate increase bond issue, the major priorities for this project were to add a Learning Center, Secure Entry Vestibule, and STEAM Studio. The building addition blends with the existing building and is home to the new Learning Center and Administration spaces. The new single secure building entry also provides after-hour community access. Also included were accessibility and restroom upgrades.
