Project Summary
Spirit Hotel and Spa will be located at the southeast corner of Interstate 64 and Spirit of St. Louis Boulevard. The building’s architecture complements rather than matches the Gateway Studios building currently under construction to the south and will have a unique aesthetic without the influence of any corporate identity. The music industry, for which the campus supports, is inspiration for the Spirit Hotel exterior design. Rhythm and variation are utilized throughout the design to create interest and three-dimensional character. The facade utilizes a sophisticated neutral color palate consisting of high quality brick, stone and composite metal panels. Strategically placed vertical LED fins accentuate the building’s facade. Landscaping will enhance the pedestrian experience for guests of the hotel, spa and restaurant as well as provide privacy buffers for outdoor gathering spaces. Spirit Hotel is planned with a Universal Design approach making all facilities within functional for people of all abilities.
